Contact Etiquette - or Edie-quette

How are you? I had chicken, chips and salad for lunch. It was so good.

Today I’m writing about Contact Etiquette.

Q: How and when it is appropriate to contact Edie?
A: The answer is: Only when you are arranging a date and then in the leadup to the date.
If you are booking me every week, then you can expect that I will touch base with you every week once your deposit has cleared.

You may have noticed: my number is still around, but it is no longer advertised widely.
This is deliberate - I am (attempting to) switch off my phone more, because this will help me balance priorities.
I much prefer to plan according to my Calendar and Booking Form.

Nifty Booking Form:

  1. Only contact me to arrange a date.

  2. I tend not to keep in touch, because I don’t have the time.

  3. If you would like to catch up with me, please follow me on social media.

  4. If you would like to catch up via a phone call, use my booking form to make this happen.

  5. Have you texted me nicely without the expectation of a response?
Don’t worry - this is not directed at you + I’m not mad at you!

  6. This is a reminder for people who message me persistently (dangling a booking without deposit, seeking attention/inappropriate messages/giving unsolicited advice) without the intention of booking.

  7. Are you worried you’ll forget and then message me developments about your latest arse pimple?
Never fear, I’m putting this in my FAQ

  8. If in doubt, fill this out: >> http://www.edielau.com/book <<

    All my best,

    Edie
